Although quite whether the LCY route is 'lifeline' is open to some debate...
Perhaps the auld duffer heard 'London City' & thought it was the LHR route that was being chopped!
In fact, I wonder if that's what he WAS thinking...
Wonder if Cityjet might be tempted to try it, given they were going to before BA scared them off.
