Banjo, at the risk of side tracking an already side tracked thread, VIPA were formed by people who felt that they knew better.
They trash talked the 2007
VB EBA, calling it a disgrace and reckoned that it made the people working under it the laughing stock of the industry, but later said it was an excellent agreement.
They submitted a log of claims for the next EBA that was at best fanciful and at worst grossly out of step with reality.
Having read their log of claims and the EBA that came out of the negotiations I suspect their input was not all that effective.
But they do have a vocal and loyal following.
This doesn't mean that the AFAP is the be all and end all, but wonder how things would have gone if there was a united single voice speaking on behalf of the
VB pilots not two distinct groups pulling in completely different directions.
