FBN,

There are no routes the 330 goes on that justify taking a SO....
SYD to PVG

I think you have 1350 pilots for your wide body fleets. Taking away the 767 numbers , you have 1200 for a fleet of 47 aircraft really quite an unbelievably over crew considering in this 47 you have 11 330s that fly only domestic.
So lets assume the domestic 330s are crewed to the same ratio of domestic 767s
Now that leaves about 1075 crew for the 36 WB aircraft you actually have that go overseas - so 30 pilots per aircraft.
Wow no wonder your international division loses money.
The reason there are so many pilots per per aircraft is for one reason and one reason only - a surplus created by Qantas Management. Prior to the introduction of Jetstar, the number of pilots per airframe was in accordance with other airlines. The growth occurred in other group airlines, the surplus was kept and ever-increasing, until it reached the stage it has now where redundancies are about to take place, and management's real agenda for the L/H pilot body is about to be shown. It is frightening, and I feel for every pilot about to be affected by QF's industrial agenda.

International is losing money as part of a deliberate game plan by Management and the Board. You either know this and ignore it to play your petty, spiteful and childlike games on here, or are simply uneducated.
