Could someone please tell me, why was the 3 month delay to the flying plan in place.
As far as I can see the only significant changes to the delayed flying plan was:
1. Jetstar pulling out of Perth - Lombok
2. Jetstar pulling out of Brisbane - Perth
So why the 3 month long awaited delay to the flying plan from networks?
There's been no change to anything previously advised within Qantas mainline. The 767's and the 744's are still retiring.
So can someone shed any light on why such as significant delay to the mainline flying plan when nothings actually changed?
All I can see is that any crew training or redundancies will be pushed into the next financial year.
