PF, you are indeed correct, it was a nightmare for the ground staff, you couldn't see the damn thing! I worked for Air UK for many years and it was a happy place to be, you could tell though who were the ex BIA and Air Anglia Pilots! From memory I think that we used to refer to the ex Air Anglia base as 'RAF Norwich'! The BIA guys were in a different league, I remember fondly one particular Capt after hearing the 'Herald' criticised because of it's lack of capability saying that "we had CAT111 on the Herald" many comments from Management obviously, the response? "The aircraft didn't, but the Crews did"!!
