Boston is only a short hop too
This was my thinking. Boston isn't exactly much more time wise than Tenerife (in the grand scheme of things), so, could well fit in a quick 2-3 weekly route to Boston in some 'down time' (Im going to research the schedules later on to see if such 'down time' exists in the A330 fleet).
Could be quite a nice little route if it does come off. Destinations wise, to say we are not a capital city nor a hub/base for the flag carrier, we are not that far behind Dublin now USA wise, which is not a bad place to be.
suppose what with the growth this year in long haul one or two are inevitably going to fail.
While we don't know forward bookings, and if it would have made a difference, but with the better known Saudia on the Jeddah route, I can't help but feel they may have been able to carve a slightly different market if flynas had stuck to the original plan of serving Riyadh?
