Prior to departing Jeddah for Manchester as KNE025, FlyNas A330-300 CS-TMT had arrived in Jeddah from Karachi. The aircraft was on the ground at Jeddah for just over three hours between the two flights … ideal for connections from Pakistan. And of course, the FlyNas A320 regional network no doubt provides additional feed as well. PIA's capacity at MAN is significantly reduced from that seen afew years ago; Air Blue has axed long-haul; Bangladesh Biman briefly returned to MAN then faded away again; Air India pulled out some years ago. Yet Manchester remains a source of huge demand to the sub-continent. The MEB3 have claimed some of this, but no doubt the two Saudi carriers are staking their claim also. The market for Islamic pilgrimages and for Saudi Arabia itself is a factor, but selling seats onward to Pakistan etc must improve the viability of the route.
