Hard to break a plane before you are in the company
I'm not crying poor for them, they went through a recruitment process and they and a lot (all?) of the other applicants with similar low experience got knocked back. I too heard it was due to the poor performance of other low time trainees. Not necessarily QF Mainline cadets though.
