Air Canada run an A319 from St. Johns to LHR in summer months. Westjet are starting St. Johns-Dublin shortly on a 737-700. I think Qatari do Doha-Aberdeen on an A319 for those in the oil industry. A319 has about the same range as a 757-200, making a route of that range profitable however is difficult
The Irish loco are waiting for the 737 max before deciding on whether to head west.
If the A321 NEO has the range, that will be the game changer IMO.
Have you looked at the locos feeding pax through US pre-clearance in Shannon or Dublin? That would allow them to use cheaper domestic airports in the North East US, saving huge money and making it viable.
