Guys,
please let us not look down on SO's, they deserve better.
First, most of us know the feeling sitting next to an A scaler and their bewilderement why one would accept inferior B scales..
Second, the decision to join CX, with all training paid, is just reflecting the current market. Plus do not forget the younger generation pilots might have family assets, plus double income now becoming the norm in marriages.
Third, this might just be a stepping stone or market forces might lead to improvements of the LEP package, we just don't know. You also don't know where the real estate market will be in a few years, could be ( a lot) lower.
Fourth, if you still pity them, do yourself a favour and have a look at a few of their rosters. I can garantee you that will do the trick.
Many of those who critisize the SO's seem to forget what they had to go through. I bet the income of an SO is higher than with the RAF..
