Slightly off topic but I thought still relevant to ABZ.
Reading elsewhere that SAS are to start a direct route from Stavanger to Houston. Six weekly, all business class (44 seats) and operated by PrivatAir on a 737.
This would be a be a perfect service from Aberdeen but there is no home based carrier here like SAS have at Stavanger. Will also be a Star Alliance airline flying to a Star Alliance hub which helps. I guess there are lots of SAS and United frequent fliers at both ends of the route. I doubt such a long route would be feasible from Aberdeen'a runway anyway.
Are we likely to see Aberdeen travellers going to Houston transfer onto this route using the many daily flights to Stavanger? Would it be an easy connection being a relatively small airport?
