Agree with you SWEETY

Many of my pax are tour groups and we are constantly asked for seconds, especially by the tour leader who is trying to satisfy his/her group. So many times I have been asked for 10 or more extra meals. I think hey honey, do you think I have a larder full of ingredients out back and can just whip up a buffet?? Right!!
I have been in the same situation as "Sweety" and the accusation of favouritism always comes back to me. Personally if there are meals left over then it's first in first served. If I am operating galley I like to keep a couple of extras for the crew but besides that I dont mind giving out seconds. I feel for the tour leaders really because if the airline doesn't feed their passengers well or something goes wrong, it's the tour leaders who face the brunt of it. Thats why people travel in tour groups, they have an identifiable "leader" to take responsibility. Over time you see the same tour leaders over and over and I like to make sure their group is well looked after otherwise this poor chap or lady is going to have a hard time for "their" tour of duty.

One thing I WONT do though, is serve something that has been stewing in the oven for more than an hour. Thats just not humane. For some reason airline food doesn't take to "resting". I've seen pasta that comes off in one whole piece instead of strands. Not nice!!
