I'd agree with the US airlines being stingy (and just plain rude)!!! On a flight from Boston to Denver (via Milwaukee so you can probably guess the Mom and Pop airline) we were given the choice of zucchini bread or a ham, egg and cheese croissant. I go for the latter and my friend asks 'What does the zucchini bread look like?'. Answer 'Like zucchini bread'. So my friend opts for that (regardless of lask of info!) and it's this teeny tiny little thing whereas I'm sitting there with the biggest breakfast sandwich in history. So before the attendant hands it over my friend asks if she can change her mind. 'No Maam, once I've handed it out I can't take it back'. We split my breakfast in the end. Ho hum. On the plus side it WAS $100 cheaper than the competition AND they gave us warm cookies.
