FAA Piggy-back Licences

If you have a FAA 61.75 Certificate that is issued on "basis of and valid only when accompanied by UK pilot licence number 12345", I know you have to do a BFR.

But do you have to hold a valid FAA Medical ?

And if you have an Instrument Rating on that Certificate (put on by simply taking and passing the Instrument Foreign Pilot Knowledge Test) do you have to keep the FAA IR current by doing an annual IPC or complete the 6 items.

NB. Apparently the UK Licence on which the FAA Certificate is based has a valid IR and valid
Medical Certificate.
