You are, in fact, wrong about no mention being made by the Aviation Minister of a Newcastle - USA air link. I quote below, what he is reported to have said:
" The Aviation Minister welcomed the development and said he hoped Newcastle Airport succeeded in its goal to operate transatlantic flights to the US East Coast "
Just want to get the facts correct.
