Travelling home from London yesterday, back to Northamptonshire and East Midlands Trains did St Pancras to Luton Parkway in 16 mins!
Shame the journey up to the top of the hill from the station takes longer than that...
The airport really needs to start lobbying the government into creating a Spur off of the Midland Mainline and directly into the airport. Surely something similar to what Stansted has could be created, the spur could be built into the hillside as a tunnel and the station built under the terminal.
With all of AENA's money, surely they could fund this?
