What if you are an expat already living in the UAE and do not need allowances for accommodation, travel home, schools, health insurance etc. (i.e. save the company some money)

Is it a matter of making as many contacts within the industry as possible or just waiting until the market changes and the experience levels come down? And I refer to both turbo-prop and jet operators.
