The Harland guy the aircraft is now registered is a front for your buddy, he turns out to be an Ex FAA DAR who had his approval pulled for lets say "shoddy" ferry permits. The Bill of sale to the FAA was false thus the big pounce and grounding by FAA Frankfurt.
