As for it being a 767, perhaps Titan didn't have any other spare equipment and I guess BA had none either as they subbed it out. Does it really matter if it's "apparently" too big?
I beg to differ when it's less than 30% full. They could have utilised some of there short haul aircraft a bit more.

They're probably paying a bomb to lease this aircraft and crew.

Although larger than the planned 319/320 to from NCL if it hadn't operated that flight it would have been cancelled altogether. I'm sure the passengers on the flight would have loved that.
They would have just been rebooked on the 12.05 or 14.45 flights. Not much difference really. Or cancelled one of the other flights.

With 75 passengers on board who would have blamed them!
