Appreciate what you are saying re the airport not wishing to endorse a airline but given it will be a continuation of a existing successful route I just think they need to advertise to ensure it has a chance of being just that-successful.

Re Shannon and Cork afraid you're in in the hands of Ryanair , who at the moment aren't showing much interest in LTN for obvious reasons down the road.
In fact have noticed they have even added a second daily flight to Malta during the summer on a Tuesday .They just don't seem interested in adding new routes right now.
The large Irish community in and around Luton would love to see Waterford back but barring a miracle it just won't happen anytime soon
