Here is a FACT that seems to have been missed; Scotairways ran 5 flights a day to London City from Dundee. They were expensive flights, especially the early morning one, and they were VERY well used. The demand for this niche service has been proven. It has been knocked, as someone previously mentioned, by London City hiking its charges forcing smaller aircraft out. Cityjet have not helped either being unresponsive to the local market.
Dundee London City is a great niche, and successful route, which has been shagged by external forces. FACT!
A Dundee London (not London City) route definitely still has great potential.
As for Cityflyer using Dundee or the runway getting extended etc etc...come on...dream on.
