John's "acrobatic" manoeuvre was a turnaround to land into wind. you can see choppers do this most days of the week at heliports.
The other things they pursued him on was reckless flying and low flying - particularly a low hover over water. There were no eye witnesses - just the video evidence and the evidence of CASA expert witnesses. From memory, you could photocopy the testimony of these expert witnesses and submit as evidence against this pilot.
