Glad you got an explanation. I also think a quick bing bong from the crew explaining would have been nice, if they were too busy then once taxiing would have been ok.
In all my years flying offshore I would never be aware you could ask to speak to the pilots about any concerns after the flight. Pretty sure this hardly ever happens.
