So what happened on the copilot's leg in half-decent weather? Was there not a complete role-reversal?
Yes there was
- even in not-so-decent weather. Can't remember the F/O limits for weather but it was important for first officers to gain experience in taking over close to decision height
- particularly in the X-wind case when it was necessary to resist the temptation to align the aircraft prematurely with the runway.
