Glad to hear you aren't paying for it. I am willing to bet it will be significantly north of 15k for the training. Make sure you check with the sim provider that they are using a TC approved check pilot or that one will be coming from canada for the check ride. Otherwise, if you only hold a Canadian license at the moment, and they give you and FAA examiner it will not be validated by TC and the IFR will not be renewed.
