Hi all!
I found myself in a situation lets say regarding expiry dates. I did the old CAA ATPL Writtens and GFT. I then had a few home problems lets say and the last thing on my mind at that time was to send everything off to the CAA to get a licence issued, hence they expired
As a result to all this, and after lengthy conversations with the CAA this is the result.
The CAA Have advised me that as I have passed the UK National exams I will not be required to do an approved groundschool course. I will just have to get the groundschool to sign me off.
Most ground schools are very user friendly and will offer a brush up at a fraction of the cost, get you up to speed and sign you up for the exams.
As far as the flying is concerned, as I also have a FAA Commercial licence I will be exempt from the 25hr Approved flight training and again, do just enough to get me through.
If however you do not hold a current foreign licence then you will have to do the 25hr approved course.
If you have any problems with any schools etc, just quote the lasors section D1
