Sea Cliff hotel is probably one of the best places to stay on the Peninsula, A few good restaurants there too, but the drive from sea cliff to airport can be up to 3hrs+ at times. Believe me, ive done it.
Yes car-jackings have happened. Yes burglaries and robbery was on the rise. Our 'so-called' secure house was robbed by the security guard! Lot of haves and have-nots unfortunately. The poverty is shocking. Begging is a way of life at the traffic lights with children as young as about 3-4 leading elderly blind lepers between cars begging for money or food. Captive audience in the cars, as you're trapped in the traffic jams during rush hours.
