Definately a good idea to get a Uni place sorted; that can be binned if an airline job comes up.
If you don't get sponsorship first time around a degree shows employers you are motivated to keep learning, and a University with a university air squadron provides a great way of getting some hours of second to none flying tuition. Who knows, you may even decide to fly pointy things with roundels!
At the very least a uni provides a great opportunity to get more qualified (and therefore more attractive to an employer) and visit crap nightclubs on a regular basis - isn't that right Affirmbrest?!
