"reviewing" or suspending in English is the latest idea from the RAF beancounters to save money.
They have decided that because the dividends of the Flying Scholarship are not immediately quantifiable, then they cannot justify their existence.
Never mind all the starts in any sort of aviation career that it has given people.
I did mine 4 years ago, had one of the best times in my life in doing so and at the end of it came out with a nice shiny brown licence.
I don't know about everyone else but I certainly wouldn't be able to have afforded it normally.
I'm just sorry for all the guys who are in the position that I was in.
If it helps anyone then the Air League also offer a 20 hour flying scholarship.
The selection (aptitudes and medical) are done at Cranditz just like the RAF ones.
I just hope the RAF aren't cutting off one of their last great lines of recruitment.
Rant over!
