1 Regiment Army Air Corps commissioned this distinctive bronze sculpture of a lynx wildcat leaping from a piece of German stone. A serving AAC officer sculpted the bronze which was given a temporary home on the green in front of the Officers’ Mess at Gutersloh but will move to Yeovilton with 1 Regt AAC as they convert from Lynx to Wildcat as part of the Aviation Reconnaissance Force

1 Regiment Army Air Corps is located at Gutersloh, Germany, with its fleet of Lynx Mk9A helicopters. Under
Army 2020 the Regiment will merge with 9 Regiment Army Air Corps, located at Dishforth, North Yorkshire, by October 2015. These merged regiments will bring the Wildcat force under a single Headquarters based at Yeovilton, Somerset.
