Haven't heard this rumour, but it wouldn't surprise me; the flight timings are not ideal now and the three weekly frequency with an acft that's too big for the route isn't the best way to operate. An earlier flight, with better frequency, which connects to/from EI's US network could be a very good move.
Also rumoured that U2 is looking at JER-BRS. Wouldn't surprise me if they did, but it will be interesting to see how the other two react ...
