It is CASR 61, not CAR 61.
Would it not be a good start to at least get the description of the regulation correct, then actually (try) and read it. After all, the new regulations have only been called CASRs since 1996 --- 15 years or so.
One of the problems with the seminars is that well meaning presenters are talking to what the new CASR Parts 61/141/142 are supposed to be ---- which is, sadly, not quite the same thing as what is actually on an authoritative copy from CommLaw.
Those of you who notice these things will have noted a whole swag of changes to Part 145 MOS --- mostly to change what is actually there to what is supposed to be there.
