For any maintenance work that requires the use of any FMC/CDU functions, the procedure is clearly laid out in the FIM/AMM
I have yet to see anything more than a procedure for INIT. I have found loading a bogus flight plan helpful many times in replicating and troubleshooting PIREPS.There is no AMM procedure for it in any of the aircraft types I have worked.
