SB, that lady is telling you what you want to hear. Before you believe any bullsh!t from those who have a vested interest in parting you with your money, do some research.
There are plenty of threads here on Pprune about the truth or otherwise of pilot shortages. Ask around about how many pilots in the USA are on furlough; ask those with new commercial licenses how they are getting on with their job applications. If you want to see someone duck and weave, ask the school that is so keen to train you to put you into email contact with recently graduated students so you can learn of their success finding flying jobs. Ha ha.
Look at the European, Australian, Canadian and New Zealand threads here and you should get the picture. There is not - and never will be - a pilot shortage. Particularly at the entry level.
When you read about shortages in places like China, bear in mind they are only interested in hiring experience for their heavy iron until they get enough of their own nationals trained.
