Porter, YTZ and CSeries

I think the YTZ decision is 50/50 right now. City administration wants to happen, aldermen are split. Feds probably want it, don't know about the Port Authority. Lots of NIMBYs adamantly opposed, but once they see how quiet CSeries is, some might change their mind.

As for the CSeries itself, I am confident orders will start coming in once some definitive fuel burn data are available. The "big one" will be if AC decide to order and split the narrow body order. I am told (by a 763 captain) currently it's the 738 as interim, then the 738MAX and some 739MAX as the long term choice. A big advantage for the MAX is the cockpit layout, information architecture, and display symbology is identical to the 77L/W and 788/9. Will make transitioning pilots much easier and cheaper. But the 738 is way too much aircraft for a lot of routes, so CS100/300 might be the choice. BBD I think would take the E190s of AC's hands to clinch the deal.

CSeries was granted an "approved for test flying" cert from Transport Canada last Saturday, so high speed taxiing should be underway this week.
