At the moment Jet2 are recruiting rated and non rated F/Os and Captains on the 737 fleet, rated F/Os and Captains on the 757 fleet and ab-initio S/Os. I cannot even begin to understand the number of applications that they have to sift through so I would be surprised if anyone in HR has currently got the time to trawl social media or rumour sites.
However once the dust has settled a bit and they’ve narrowed the applicants down to a small group of ‘definitely maybes’ they may start looking at social networks etc and if they have 2 very similar applicants with one post to fill then comments on these sites might be the deciding factor over who gets the job.
Perhaps if JJP were to carry out a wee bit of judicial editing of their past posts now then no damage would be done should they fall under the social network microscope at a later date.
