International Delivery of New B787s
Does anyone know? Domestic deliveries and most foreign deliveries of new 787s have become a routine procedure. Boeing gets the wire transfer, throws a small party, signs a few papers, hands over the 'keys,' and the new owner climbs into the sky. For a few foreign deliveries, reports indicate a short hop to Vancouver, BC for "additional registration paperwork." Can anyone explain this process, why it is necessary, yet in only a few cases? I won't waste space guessing because I don't know. Thanks in advance.
