My FI had only just lapsed when I applied for my EASA licence.
I renewed my FI on my CAA licence during the 7 months it took them to process my EASA application, for which off course they charged handsomely!
Cost of FI renewal:-
£220 Flight Test examiner Fee
£220 Flight test aircraft hire
£275 Seminar fee
£85 CAA EASA fee to put on licence
Thats £800 to renew my FI. (and 3 days of my time).
I've had this rating for >20yrs but question if I will renew again.
