Depends on your CAA. The FAA requires a Letter of Authorization for operations in RVSM airspace. The plane has to meet certain maintenance standards. Also the crew has to be trained. However the the FAA says this training can be part of the regular training for the aircraft and does not have to be a stand alone event.
