Can't argue with the fact that he broke the law but I wonder how many old salts have some booty in the loft?
I can certainly remember being shown my uncle's liberated Luger in the late 50's along with a mag of ammo. It wasn't unusually in those days to have that sort of thing hanging around. Indeed as kids we used to go down to the old rifle butts, dig around for .303 ammo, stick it in a vice that we had set up on waste land and give it whack with a nail and a hammer...and then run like buggery as the local bobbies always heard the bang and knew what we were up to...
