Do the Captain thinks its all about Sep 11 that crews do not allow pax on jumpseats. A lot of us like nothing more than a true enthusiast to join us. But when it comes to little snips that does not appreciate nor respect the operating crew, well then. Keep the door lock and spoil it for everybody.
One day, which I doubt, you will also spend a night or two writing reports defending your actions whilst having the pax and company's best interests at heart just because a little **&^%% had to make some very uninformed chirps about the crew and their actions.
In stead of personally inform and brief you, they did their jobs. Once their tasks were completed, they informed all the pax, yes you too. Thus assuring you the opportunity to travel by air again, sommer the very next day.
