Question Leave LH!! Join Virgin or Emirates

Evening everyone!

We recently found out about this website and are seeking for any information concerning employment as flight attendant w/ Virgin Atlantic and Emirates.

We, that are two 25 yrs young flight attentants (both male) from Munic, Germany, currently employed at Lufthansa. Working on the A-340 and A-320 (sometimes) we are looking for a change in our lives. Germany becomes more and more boring, the love about London keeps on growing and yet we´re sick of the way people are treated by our company.

Actually we´ve been ready for a change for quiet a long time, but even now we get more serious with this idea. Appreciated are any information concerning application, screening procedures, salaries, expenses, insurances, duty times, off-days, allowances, hotels, crew services, destinations etc. All we can promise -if the word "promise" in the internet is belived to be honest or not- is that we´ll treat the given information carefully.

Since we´ve nothin´ to hide about our company, here are some data from our everydays-life:

Salary FEB ´03: € 1260,- + approx € 550,- expenses, social insurance is partly paid by the company, health insurance according to german law is payed 50:50....

Schedule FEB ´03:

01-03 FEB ORD
07-09 FEB JFK
12-15 FEB JNB
19-22 FEB BOS
25-28 REQUESTED OFF-DAYS

e.g. FEB ´03 got us 74 FLYING HOURS,

the basis on which we´re paid. An everage of 15-18 days OFF should be thought of. Good further training provided, extra money for each additional language spoken (excluding English)and though the opportunities are wide, we like to CHANGE!!

As a matter of fact we were not able to gain "1st-class-information" by current employees of Virgin and EK. However, without details a decision can not be made and therefore we´re kindly asking for your help!

Thanks a lot in advance and ALWAYS HAPPY LANDINGS!
