I know with most airlines they look for a return of service, well if your in your late 30's you can only realy give back say 20 years where as if your in your 20's you can give back about 30 or so years of service.
(Whether this is true or not I don't know) Sunstate Airlines isn't hiring anybody under the age of 30. I think this is due to pilots staying with them for a short period of time and moving on. There was an instance I heard of where a pilot was only online with them for about 3 weeks and went onto a major. (Please correct me if I am wrong as these two statements were only rumours)
But for the sake of all of us wannabes it's a shame that Air Lingus isn't taking on any more cadets for a while.
