I would have thought that a CRM course for Instructors would be a brilliant idea. I am at one of the UK's airlines and we have just introduced a course for pre-commands that is essentially a CRM refresher with a lot more about personal awareness than has traditionally been found on CRM courses. The course is thought to be so important that all the Training Appointment Holders will be doing an abridged version of the course so that they can take the content of the course onto the line and into the simulator.
The course consists of modules on S.A., Decision making, Teamwork, Leadership & Management, Legal, Customer and the Business and Feedback. People on the course are given the opportunity to work on their overall awareness by using several specially produced video scenarios which are then debriefed. The course is still being fine tuned but I believe is taking CRM training in the direction we need to go.
