Paul Anniss .
A dear friend and some great memories.
Always ready to lend an ear to listen to the problems of others while carrying quite a burden himself. He didn't say much about his own problems but, he was always there for me and mine with a smile and with words of wisdom.
Paul's standards were high but, he would never expect anything from someone if he couldn't do it himself. In fact he didn't necessarily require
people to perform to his level, just the required level.

He said to me more than once that he never failed someone, they had failed themselves. I use the same reasoning.

Did he suffer fools? No way.
Try to pull the wool over his eyes and you would soon be found out .
Do your best and you would be praised for doing so.

Paul was reserved but, he also was accepting, trusting,an extremely dedicated family man to Bernie and Robert, certainly supportive of me and, just plain decent.
Paul fought his many personal battles constantly but, quietly and the same way he approached aviation, with determination.
That was Paul Anniss.

I sit he trying to remember what he ever asked of me over 20 years and frankly, I am at a loss.

Farewell dear friend.
Looking forward to meeting again.
