My real lament is that we can't do the same in the housing industry - simple, modern houses using the latest energy saving designs, instead of horrid pastiche cookie cutter boxes, but I guess that's a diversion for Jet Blast
Ah, that's because the beancounters run that biz TOO!! Unfortunately, there is no equivalent of JA1 and the govts have been too timid. The regs about insulation and size of rooms and quality of electrics/plumbing installed? As long as it can last the time of guarantee? That'll do.
