I am living a pretty good life here;
Life in Dubai.... its definitely what you make it
1) Cheap Golf Club membership (and yes I still play in the summer, and I particularly enjoy a pint on the 19th in the swimming pool)
2) Affordable boating
3) Access to all sorts of activities
4) I live walking distance from a number of bars and restaurants, most of which I receive some form of discount via Emirates Platinum or EPC
5) If I am enjoying a few beers, I can arrange for someone to drive me home, or taking a taxi is always affordable
6) The EPC clubs, which my wife and I use 2-3 times / week
7) Cheap Cars/Gas/Car Maintenance
8) I am not sure if this is good or bad .... but my wife loves the malls, and to do all her fancy salon stuff costs a 1/4 of what it did in Aus

4) Staff travel is good (but our cousins down the road have it even better!)

Please don't get me wrong, there are many challenges associated with both, hence the definite need for the not so good things thread also. It also seems as though there are just so many cost-free things that could be changed to make things so much better, which can be somewhat frustrating, a thread along those lines might be interesting?
