Another try?
How long is this going to last? As long as the Jhb-Lagos-JFK run?
A horse told me the following story.....
....because the route was done in conjunction with Air Nigeria, all the handling in Lagos was handled by them in Lagos. Of all the pax carried from Lagos to JFK a substantial number( 25-30%)had to be flown back to Lagos on SAA's cost, with an additional fine of $10000 per passenger, for arriving with pax with out the neccesary visas.This happend because the said ground handlers never bothered to check,( or even looked the other way) if those pax had indeed visas to enter the USA, It happened so regularly and became so costly combined with the limit it placed on available seating that SAA decide to call it a day.
Anybody heard the same romour?
