What you should
really be asking is what advantages taildragging brings to the pilot.... how about
Knowing what the rudder pedals are for...? Yes
The ability to land without drift....? Yes
Choice of landing techniques ....? Yes, wheeler or 3 point
Being able to fly the most interesting vintage, classic and aerobatic aircraft...? Yes!
As for this insurance nonsense - you may wish to check out some AAIB reports
