Well, having been in line training for a long time, could not disagree more.
Help/assist the trainee as much as possible, to achieve the desired results...a well trained line pilot that can pass the required check flights AND be a safe and efficient pilot.
CRM in the training situation? Not all that useful, the trainee has to get the message, and sometimes it takes harsh words to get their attention...and co-operation.
Been that way for a long time, and not likely to change anytime soon.
